Lancier VB is a one channel amplifier… But it is made by 1812 Amps! Therefore, it cannot be common and look like all the other amps! Its basic idea lies in gathering the whole collection of British sound within the small chassis of Lancier. As a result, we have a rich and strong cocktail made of classical ingredients of JTM, JCM and AC to the 1812 brand recipe with some original spices. Spice one is EF86 tube. This tube was used in various vintage amplifiers of the 50-60s. It has a mellower and deeper sound than 12ax7. Spice two is PlexiCrunch toggle. The Plexi mod it is bright and crystal tone of British rock of the 60-70s. The Crunch mod provides crispy and powerful classical heavy metal sound of the 80s. Spice three is PPMV. It is the most popular mod of vintage amps for having overdrive of phase invertor tubes without huge loud volume.
It is not an easy thing to combine two almost incompatible things, but 1812 team does not beat a retreat! Chasseur is not a mere two-channel amplifier, it is a vintage tone-machine with two entirely individual preamps assembled using different types of components, which are particularly selected for each channel. Such an approach of 1812 team allows implementing the sounds of the two continents in a single amp to the full extent! Channel I represents 1812 team interpretation of the American clean sound and overdrive. This Channel adds up to a hundred tones and shades of soft clear sound, breakup and even a kind of fuzz to your sound palette.
